James and Jenna Gunn (real-life husband-and-wife team, James Gunn,
[writer/director of "SLITHER", writer of "Scooby-Doo",
"The Specials" and "Dawn of the Dead"] and Jenna Fischer of
NBC's "The Office") play a wealthy couple looking to give back to the
homeless community through their new charity, LolliLove. The idea is simple: By
giving out lollipops with inspirational artwork and cheery slogans on the
wrapper, LolliLove will eradicate homelessness...transforming your average
"homeless person", into a productive and loved "happy
person." This satiric mix of fact and fiction documents (or 'mockuments')
James' and Jenna's hilarious odyssey, as they attempt to solicit corporate
sponsorship, overcome strains on thier marriage, and enlist celebrity friends
like Linda Cardellini (E.R.,Scooby-Doo), Judy Greer (Arrested Development, 13
Going on 30), and Jason Segel (Freeks and Geeks, How I Met Your Mother) as they
try to prove how very, very, very, very charitable they are!

Ed Montgomery UNTITLED Short
Ed Montgomery THE SINGING BIOLOGIST (2004, 98 mins, video)
A sexy musical about a charismatic young singer who mixes music and science to explore the boundaries of love with a biologist, a Brother, and a boy wonder.
Rose prepares her biggest show for a prestigious theater and recruits biologist Shandra to join her troupe. Shandra's smitten colleague Dana insinuates himself into the bargain by supplying the band with music he's composed from DNA. In a heady dance to the opening curtain Rose meets Brother Hugh, a biology and ethics teacher, in an online chat room and they blithely launch an experiment in romantic tragedy; the theater management plots against Rose's company; and the lives and loves of her colleagues play to the insistent backbeat of human nature.
This unprecedented feature takes an intellectual twist, ambitiously wringing ethics, religion, science, and love into an inquisitive romance that puts flesh on the premise: It takes a rockin' scientist to sing a modern love song.
The Singing Biologist is Ed's first feature film. He is co-producer of the TV arts program, "The Edge of Brooklyn", with Ravi Coltrane. He has written and performed numerous musical theater works, including "The History of the Universe According to Those Who've Had to Live It," and the opera, "Congo New York." He composed the score for "Turf," a radio play by Robbie McCauley, which won the A.I.R. award for best arts program in Boston radio for 1996.

visual effects technologies with a 200 Ton Monsterous Gimble and live action

called "Heir Of The Dog". He then auditions for a disabled showcase,

out headshots to anyone who will take one. Getting nowhere fast, Steve stumbles
upon an appointment sheet for Paul. They are casting for an updated version of
"The Monkees" TV series. Looking for guys, who can sing, dance and
act. Steve pretends to be his own manager, and snags an audition. He meets with

Middle-class American suburbia is wealthy enough to support an unexpected irony: its children don't have to grow up. This film explores the strange social condition of the new population of twentysomethings living at home with their parents, as they drift in and out of working-class jobs and low-level criminality, and try to find a way to explain themselves, veering between anti-depressants and hard drugs, therapy-speak and violence, against a blank, comfortable backdrop, and a dim awareness of national vulnerability.
Paul Cantagallo graduated from Harvard University in 2001 with an honors degree in English and American Literature. In 2005, he appeared in "The American Ruling Class," a dramatic-documentary that won Special Mention at the TriBeCa Film Festival. "No Outlet" is his first feature film. In partnership with his brother, Dan, Paul is currently in pre-production on a fiction feature entitled, "Touched," about a young delinquent who manages to achieve semi-celebrity only to lose and regain it again in spectacularly violent fashion.
Dan Cantagallo graduated from Harvard University in 2002 with an honors
degree in Visual and Environmental Sciences. In 2005, he earned an M.A. in Film
Production from The London Film School. "No Outlet" is his first

Nora Jacobson NOTHING LIKE DREAMING (2005, 94 mins, DV Cam)
A man fires up a propane torch. He sends its flame up tubes of metal. The raging
heat produces resonant, ringing tones in a harmony of pure sound. Sonny Gale is
a scavenger, outlaw and fire artist. He lives stealthily, in an abandoned
factory at the edge of town, waiting for someone who never arrives. Into his
life comes Emma. Emma is at a crossroads, through with high school, not yet off
to college. She is the strong one in her family, trying like many kids to keep
her family together. Her mother, a folk singer, suffers from depression. Her
father, a state legislator, seems more interested in a colleague than in his
wife. Her best friend Lara, is a wild, fiery girl. She is the hot head to Emma's
cool one. With their friends, they go to a party on the outskirts of town. The
party is busted by the police. And then Lara leaves Emma's life forever.
Emma's life starts to unravel. To her father's dismay, she takes refuge with
Sonny, and helps him build a mysterious Fire Organ. Played at night, with fires
burning and pipes glowing, it produces haunting sounds that thrill and enchant.
Sonny makes music soar from the fiery pipes and leads Emma on a journey to
confront her feelings of grief and loss. But to adults, fire is dangerous and
Sonny has a history with the mental health folks. A confrontation with the
police sends Sonny over the deep end. Emma finds a way to calm him and guide him
back from the edge of madness. Meanwhile, the authorities have other plans for
Sonny. Emma feels betrayed by the adults she once respected. She visits Sonny
one last time and then takes control of her own destiny.
NOTHING LIKE DREAMING is Jacobson's second narrative feature film. Her first, MY
MOTHER'S EARLY LOVERS, was also shot in her native Vermont, and played at the
Austin Film Festival (Finalist), Film Fest New Haven (Jury Award), Maine
International Film Festival (Audience Award) and the Ajijic (Mexico) Film
Festival (Best Independent Film). Jacobson studied experimental film with Stan
Brakhage at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and anthropology at
Dartmouth College. She is the recipient of a National Endowment of the Arts
Media Fellowship and a Guggenheim Fellowship.

Mary Trunk WATERSHED (2005, 78 mins, video)
From nine tormented lives, Mary Trunk culls this
expert and haunting portrait of a family recovering from decades-old wounds –
a family that happens to be her own. In 1973, soon after having moved his wife
and seven children from New York to California, father Jack Trunk announced he
was leaving. Distraught and suddenly alone in a strange town, mother Paula Trunk
remained in a self-imposed alcoholic palsy for more than three years. Her
children were left to fend for themselves. Delicate pans over family photographs
are spliced with Super 8mm home movies and footage of each of the Trunks today
in interviews that are remarkable for their candor and touching for their
grace.
Now-grown children recall how they suffered through the ordeal. (One took his
comatose mother’s wedding ring and sold it at school for 50 cents to buy
lunch.) The parents feel free to speak for themselves, largely because the
director has the great good sense to ask them how they felt at the time, rather
than demanding that they explain themselves. Mary Trunk is the only family
member who doesn’t appear on camera, but her light hand and unsentimental eye
make this, above all, a portrayal of a filmmaker near her mastery of both
technique and the truth. “The Watershed” is an award winning documentary
with more than 10 Best Feature Documentary Awards from over 30 Film Festivals
around the world.
Mary Trunk began her career in the arts as the Artistic Director of the Trunk
Co. Movement Theatre, a San Francisco based performance group which used dance
and film in elaborate theatrical productions. The ensemble performed throughout
the Bay Area and the US for over ten years. While pursuing her MFA in Film at
the San Francisco Art Institute, Mary wrote and directed short films that
combined her dance expertise with storytelling. The films screened at various
festivals and venues around the country. "The Watershed" first began
as a screenplay and Mary won a spot at the Ledig House Writers' Residency in New
York to refine the story. "The Watershed" took Mary six years to
complete and this is her first feature length film. Her next documentary project
focuses on women artists as mothers.

Eddy Von Mueller / Evan Lieberman THE LADY FROM SOCKHOLM (2005, 71 mins 16MM)
Wool War II rages and times are tough for sock puppets. Terrence M. Cotton, a washed-up gumshoe, finds himself knee-high in debt and praying for a big case. Enter Heelda Brum, a finely spun piece of high-end hosiery who hires Cotton to find Darnell, her missing mate. Cotton takes the missing sock case but the heat gets turned on high when Darnell's unraveled remains are discovered. At the top of Cotton's suspect list is the cheaply woven criminal Big Toeny Marnetti. When interrogated, Big Toeny states that Heelda and Darnell aren't the designer duds Cotton thinks they are, and he tells Cotton the pair has tightly knit ties to an Asian underground silk ring. The news needles Cotton, so he goes looking for answers at The House of Bootah, a restaurant with its toes in every illegal operation in Chinatown. At the House of Bootah he questions the leader of the smuggling ring, but instead of getting closer to finding who put the pinking shears to Darnell, Cotton discovers that Heelda's lies may have stained the investigation. When confronted, Heelda won't come clean; but Cotton is undeterred and sticks to the investigation like static cling. But can a clean sock find justice in a dirty town? As Cotton threads the strands of the case together and gets closer to the truth, he must watch his step or risk meeting the same frayed fate as Darnell.
Over 100 pairs of socks were used in the making of the puppets. The film
premiered at the Atlanta Film Festival and received an Award for Excellence from
the Slamdance Screenplay Competition.

On the day of her engagement, Grace Kieler finds her family and fiancé divided on political matters. With her future husband off to join the Union army and her brother vowing loyalty to the Confederates, she is torn. She promises her father that she will protect and care for her brother. Upon her father's death Grace decides to cut her hair, don her brother's clothes, and take his name to join the ranks of the Rebel army. She must find him and keep him from getting killed.
Along the way, she meets Virginia Klaising, a widow and mother grieving the death of her only son. Virginia begins to fall for this Rebel 'boy' as they travel the backwoods avoiding both armies trying to get back home. By the same turn, Henry (Grace) finds himself comforted by this unfortunate woman. Together they are able to mend the wounds that tear the underpinnings of the heart. As love blooms and the secret becomes harder to conceal, the two realize that they have something precious---an unspoken candor that reveals the soul. When Henry is shot and brought back from most certain death, the secret is revealed and yet the bond grows stronger. After living through such brutal loss and watching the carnality of war unfold before them, they realize they only have each other.
And yet it is more than enough. It is the balm that soothes, the quiet whisper that comforts. Each becomes a beacon in a time of great darkness, though their journey is short-lived as each must reach a destination without the other. This story is loosely based on the novel, Firefly.
