Chris Ryan, an aspiring writer, is hopeless and angry after the unexpected
loss of his fiancée, Isabel. Engaged only months before, he struggles with the
grieving process and the unanswered questions that linger. He leaves college and
returns home. Unable to sleep, he takes a job as a janitor to distance himself
from his family and friends. His monotonous work becomes a physical outlet but
his emotions remain shattered. Both friends and strangers reach out to him and
hope to help him. Some of them make progress; others set him back. Chris needs
to decide what matters more: how she died or how he will live. Based on a true
story.
